molly v4.0

It’s a bird … It’s a plane … It’s a finished knitting project! Wow – it’s been a while since I’ve had a finished knitting project to show you. There hasn’t been a ton of knitting here at Casa de Welford because I am still nursing my ‘mommy thumb’ injury. After a certain amount of knitting, I’m finding I have to take long breaks. It’s not necessarily due to pain but more a certain amount of stiffness.

This project was on and off the needles in record time because I wanted to finish this before my mother-in-law, who’s been staying with us this month, flew home. She was the reason I was able to participate in Spinzilla so I wanted to say thank you by knitting her a new winter toque. I’m kind of in love with how this turned out!

This is the fourth time I’ve knit this pattern … it’s kind of a favourite of mine. There’s nothing to modify or complain about! It’s just great. I absolutely love the cable up the side and the waffle is interesting enough to keep you motivated to knit just one more row.

As we enter into Deep Fall and we start pulling out our winter knits, I can’t wait to cast on some new toques for the kids!

Happy Knitting :)
