I’m sorry to hear about your husband’s socks. I probably would have cried over them. The new pair are looking great though. I love the fish lips heel; it’s the only one I do.
That was interesting about the roving and combed top. I’m still trying to get the hang of it all.
Jessica (Ravelry founder) gave me an idea to possibly unshrink them! I’m keeping my fibers crossed that it works!!!
so helpful to see up close the difference in worsted and woolen prep. the same words are used to describe so many things in fiber craft that it can quickly become confusing.for example worsted is a prep and a yarn weight in America. I also think there is a lot of misinformation out there too. so this really helps a lot.
if pictures are worth a thousand words than video must be worth a gazillion.
I would love to see a video on carding and also working with combs.
ps. any way you could use the felted socks as slippers for one of the kids?
You’re welcome! It’s so confusing that people use the words interchangeably. And you’re right about worsted weight versus worsted spinning. Even more confusing!! Also, that’s a great idea about carding and combing – I think that might be included within the next few episodes!
