I almost didn’t share this here with you because I have a lot of other things to share this month and it’s cross-posted from The Sweet Georgia Blog. I absolutely love how this turned out, though, and I wanted to share it with you here. Instead of a lot of writing, I’m going to let the photos speak for themselves. I divided the braid in half horizontally and spun each strip end-to-end. This is a traditional 2-ply but the colours matched up perfectly. In the end, the results really inspired me and I’ve actually ordered seconds from the studio, which I’ll pick up in January. I have very special plans for it.
In an effort to come back to crafting, spinning and knitting rejuvenated and fresh, I am going to be taking a short break for the next week. I won’t be online much, if at all, while we celebrate New Years with my family. We have had a wonderful holiday season with extensive travel and now is the time to rest.
I want to wish you all a wonderful New Year and thank you for your support. Your kindness, comments and warmth have been a wonderful source of inspiration and creative growth for me this year. I wouldn’t have continued with the videocast if not for all of you, so thank you. I will be back with a new episode at the end of January and there will be some finished knitted objects that I’m dying to show you in the interim.
Happy Holidays,
That turned out beautiful! Maybe one day, I’ll get the courage to try some homespun myself :) Happy New Year!
Thanks Paula! Happy new year to you!!!
