The Wool n’ Spinning Podcast

Episode 21 :: Impromptu

April 2016

Thank you for watching! This is more of a little video-log of what I’ve been working on. Any questions about what I share, just leave a comment.

I mention about the blog post for my Shetland Pommier vest – it will go live on May 9th.

I am a Craftsy affiliate. This means that when you click on the Craftsy ad within my website and purchase a class or supplies, I receive credit for it. It is a great way to support the show and much appreciated! Thank you!

These little vlogs are not going to be on any kind of a schedule or regular. My SIPs (Spins – In – Progress) were piling up and it’s hard to share that progress in any format but video! I hope you enjoyed it.

Until next time,

r.

    The format is a really effective way to show lots of yarn and fiber. I enjoy seeing vids from you whenever I can. It’s inspiring. If I can solve some recurring back pain I’ll be able to get back to my spindling in earnest.

  2. I really enjoyed the vlog! I have some Flax Merino from Spunky Eclectic that I want to spin to knit Hitoftude! And, you are right, it is a weird thing to spin! However, I liked the drape of the yarn and the swatch did get much softer!

    1. That will be beautiful – I do love Flax in lace. I’m going to swatch my little sample and see how it wears. Looking forward to seeing the end product because the colours were so muddy in the skein but I think it’ll actually be really nice knit up.

  3. So fun to see what you are working on and see your little herd of spindles.
    Interesting to see so many people spinning plant material – flax. I acquired some hemp and spun a small sample last week. So different than the wool fiber I use.

    1. It is funny! I’ve noticed a lot of people spinning non-wool or plant blends lately. Maybe the weather? Here it’s been so so so hot!
