Episode 58: Making mistakes, starting new & books

Another week –  where did February go?! Thank you for tuning in this week! Thank you to everyone who continues to tune in, welcome to new viewers and especially to our Patreon subscribers. Episode 2 of Wool n’ Spinning Radio has been released to all Patreon subscribers, so be sure to check that out. Today, I chat about a new interesting blend that has been in my stash forever. And I started another spin from my Bin! A very difficult and challenging spin is finished and felted for my CTA Spin the Bin 2017. I chat briefly about my Fireside pullover and a woven project bag that I finished this past week.  I have been asked to give a review of Felicia Lo’s new book, Dyeing to Spin & Knit and tell you what my personal Top 3 books are in my library! Last, I’m wearing my Featherweight cardigan out of my handspun Polwarth & Silk.

My Ravelry handspun page here.

Notions & Project Bag tutorial here.

More videocasts about my Fireside Pullover are here and here. Fireside Pullover Ravelry project page here.

Felicia’s new book has been published and I hope you check it out!

FibresWest 2017 is almost here – I hope to see you there! SpinOlution MACH III will be on demo there. Any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask me!

Until next week,

Happy Spinning!

  1. I am loving your shows and look forward to each episode. During episode 58 you made reference to a control card that you prefer. Which one was it? I couldn’t quite make it out.

    1. Thank you Doris! That means a lot! They are the Succaplokki cards. I reviewed and talked about them extensively back in the fall. I also sell them. I think they are awesome!
