Unboxing new motorized carder – Fancy Kitty Little Tom Wide
- Romney blend with seacell – playing with percentages
Rideau-Arcott/Charolais Cross – re-washed & started picking to lock pop
- Majacraft Rose 27:1
- Continuous backwards draft, with light smoothing
- Aiming for a multi-ply yarn, 3- or 4-ply
Corriedale/Targhee Cross – re-washed & started picking to lock pop
- carded as a large batt, then into smaller nests of fibre for spinning
CraftyJaks Targhee & Smith+Ewe Organic Polwarth+Silk & Sari Silk – 2/3 to 1/3 targhee to Polwarth
- Included 2% sari silk for texture and interest
- Carded 3-4 times for blending – need to re-blend the nests one more time of recent blend
- Plied as Hawser yarn – 4-ply, knitted swatch with more to up-ply & ply
