in a tavern.

These aren’t technically done as I still have ends to weave in but the light outside was perfect to photograph my newly finished socks.

There’s nothing particularly unique about these – they are my stand-by vanilla sock recipe that fits perfectly and provide great on-the-go projects. I start the toes on at home, then tuck the project into my purse and finish them as I can over the space of a few months.

As you know, I’m a big fan of the Fish Lips Kiss Heel. It fits my narrow heel really well. I didn’t add the ribbing above the heel this time, which I did on my Fluormania socks.

There’s nothing particularly interesting about these socks but I really like them! The colourway is awesome – it’s one of my favourite colourways that Felicia has, particularly for socks. And I really love the woolly-goodness of these BFL socks – they are slightly thicker, denser and warmer than any of my other hand knit socks except my Noro knee socks. I think that’s mostly due to the length and a slightly thicker yarn.

Into my #operationsockdrawer these go!

  1. Socks are such great on-the-go projects, aren’t they? I throw mine in my purse too and knit anywhere I can if I’m sitting more than ten minutes. I adore the colorway you’ve chosen, it seems very appropriate for the fall! Makes me want to smell burning leaves and drink some hot cocoa while making s’mores by the fireplace!

    1. Oh absolutely!!!
