March {Videopurl}. Episode 3 ~ It almost didn’t happen.

This has been a rough weekend … I have been battling technology ALL weekend!!! I hope you don’t mind my ramblings about it at the beginning of the show … if you want to skip the intro, please head straight to 4:30 for spinning chatter. Thank you so much for watching!

For show notes, see below. If I haven’t linked to something, please leave a comment and I will share the links. Also, if you have any questions about spinning techniques, how I do certain things or anything else, PLEASE PLEASE ask in the comments! I would love to address some of your questions about spinning in future episodes.

  1. Once again, a very interesting podcast. I too have bought Jacey Boggs Faulkner”s Craftsy Class, and I agree that it is brilliant. Interestingly, I have tried spinning across the top without drafting to preserve the colours, and I struggled just as you have. I guess I need a lot more practice!

  2. Thanks for persevering, Rachel! Your socks are amazing. I have always wanted to knit a Shaelyn shawl, too, and yours is really inspiring. The color is perfect. The parts of your show in general that I appreciate the most are when you discuss fiber prep for spinning. That doesn’t get discussed a lot outside of classes and I am finding that there are so many things I still have to try with my spinning. I watched all the Craftsy wheel spinning classes this winter, but even there they don’t discuss ways to strip down fiber in as much depth as you have. I hope your transition back to work is smooth and I look forward to the next videocast, whenever it appears. Cheers!

    1. Thank you so much Carol — and thank you for writing such a nice comment and taking the time to write! I totally agree with you about the five prep stuff — it was a huge barrier to me when I started spinning. I hope over time I will be able to continue to explain what I do and techniques out there as there are so many!! Thanks again for watching :)
