Welcome All. It’s been a busy start to the new year and our weather here has been absolutely lovely. Those burried in snow at the moment – how are you all doing?!
Make Nine is a great way to organize your year but I hold it lightly each time I make one. Wool n’ Spinning Radio
Rebecca, Dionne and Rachel sat down to discuss how the year went. We reflected on some end-of-the-year maker questions, spending some time looking back on the year. Because I didn’t want to get too mired down in only looking backward, we included some discussions about what we want more of in our making in the coming year and what we are each consciously wanting to let go of. It was a fun conversation and I hope you enjoy it.

I’m often asked what my Patreon is really about — what the different tiers mean, and how to know which one is the right fit.
At its heart, the Wool n’ Spinning Patreon isn’t about consuming more content. It’s about community, shared practice, and conversation.
As the tiers increase, you do gain access to more resources and learning opportunities, but the biggest shift is how close you are to the conversation. Think of it less as a hierarchy and more as stepping gradually deeper into a shared studio space.
The lower tiers are a gentle place to land — offering inspiration, education, and a way to support this work at a pace that feels sustainable. You’re welcome to engage quietly or actively, and there’s no pressure to “keep up.”
In the higher tiers, the experience becomes more interactive. This is where our small Zoom groups live — intentional, thoughtful spaces where members have direct access to me, as well as to Rebecca and Dionne, who contribute so deeply to this community.
These Zoom gatherings aren’t lectures. They’re conversations. We talk through real projects, explore questions together, and learn from one another in a slower, more relational way.
The paywall doesn’t exist to withhold information — it protects the quality of connection. Smaller groups allow for deeper listening, meaningful feedback, and a sense of belonging that can’t happen at scale.
There is no “right” tier. Some members stay in the lower levels for years; others move up as their time, energy, or curiosity changes. You’re always welcome to choose what fits your current season.

Rebecca is continuing to explore all the textued yarn spinning in The Wool Circle – she covered amazing beehive yarns this past week {here} and we played with them in Maker Morning a couple of days later. These are complicated structures and tedious to make – but so fun & effective in the finished yarn!

This fall is moving along as breakneck speeds! We have been at my mom’s place for almost a month now and things are moving along with the house quickly. There hasn’t been a lot of time for making but I’ll share with you what I have been making, as well as, some community particiaption because it’s really fun to share what YOU have been making.
