I knit a Purl Soho Chevron Baby Blanket for J as soon as he was born. Once N was born, I had to knit her one too!
I went through my stash to find yarn but unfortunately … I have no pink! I had tons of yellows and a few skeins that needed to be used up – I ran out of one about 2 garter ridges away from being finished so unfortunately there is a colour match in there. Funny though: in real life you can’t see the difference but in the photos it screams at you.
Pattern: Chevron Blanket by Purl Soho
Yarn: Knit Picks Palette Brass Heather, Gaia’s Colours Fibre Arts Pales Sock Yellow (discontinued), Palette Cornmeal and Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift Scotch Bloom, Spindrift Buttermilk (my favourite in this blanket!), Palette Oyster, Spindrift Sunglow, Palette Raspberry Heather – all yarn held double
Needles: 6.00mm
I got smart this time and used stitch markers for the increases and decreases. Different colours for each as I worked across because last time, I made a bunch of mistakes trying to keep count. It was much much faster and I could tune out even more enjoy the project. And now for the gratuitous photos! She’s 7 weeks now.
Happy knitting :)
