Episode 99 Live: Sock Yarn, Sparkle & Rolags

The post that was associated with this live stream didn’t post properly and I didn’t realize until after the show was over. Only a few were notified that the live stream was starting in the Slack channel. I’m very sorry! There will be another Live Stream at the end of the month and I will be recording from the road over the next week or so.

Thank you for joining me this week – we chatted about a lot of things! Welcome to new and returning viewers. Thank you to our Patreon community for keeping the show on the air month after month – your patronage of the show means a lot to me! We chat about some Perendale that a community member spun which sends us down a huge woollen, long draw, rolag discussion. Next, I share my sock spin progress with some spins I’ve been working on. Lastly, I share my Sparkle Cardigan progress with you from the modified button band to the finished body.

Please head over the Ravelry group and introduce yourself. The Spinning Growth thread is here and more information on what that thread is all about is here.

Projects I talked about this week:

1. Disdero Ranch Romney/Mohair pin-drafted roving for the Sparkle Cardigan by Joji Locatelli

2. Semiahoo Suffolks 100% Suffolk from handcarded rolags handspun page here

3. SweetGeorgia Yarns SW BFL + Nylon in False Creek (Nov 2016 Fibre Club) handspun page here

4.  CraftyJaks SW BFL in Harvest & Vegan Yarn Vegan Cashmere combo spin Ravelry page here

If there’s anything you’re wondering about that’s not linked above, please ask in the comments!

Until next time,

R.
