Fibre Preparation & Spinning
Rideau-Arcott/Charolais Cross – re-washed & started picking to lock pop
- Majacraft Rose 27:1
- Continuous backwards draft, with light smoothing
- Aiming for a multi-ply yarn, 3- or 4-ply
CraftyJaks Targhee & Smith+Ewe Organic Polwarth+Silk & Sari Silk – 2/3 to 1/3 targhee to Polwarth
- Included 2% sari silk for texture and interest
- Carded 3-4 times for blending – need to re-blend the nests one more time of recent blend
SKEINED!
100% Corriedale – prepared in a batt for me by Dionne, spun with pre-drafting, continuous backwards
- 200 yards, 50 grams = 1816YPP
- 14 – 15 WPI under slight tension
K-Nitting
